Our services

Occupational Therapy

At our mobile Occupational Therapy service, we're dedicated to helping children participate in their daily activities. Our experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapists (OTs) work with children in three key areas:

  • Self-care skills: Our therapists assist children in developing independence and self-sufficiency by helping them learn skills such as toileting, dressing, eating, and grooming.

  • Play and social development: We work with children to improve their social skills, such as turn-taking and cooperative play with other children, and promote their imagination and creativity through activities like pretend play.

  • Skills for school or kindergarten: Our therapists help children develop the skills they need to succeed in school and kindergarten, such as fine motor skill development, gross motor development, and classroom skills such as listening, following instructions, and concentration.

Professional Development

Our Professional Development Program is designed to educate and empower teachers, support staff, GPs, and community centre members to better support the children in their care. Our sessions cover a variety of topics, including:

  • The role of an Occupational Therapist and how they can support children in the classroom

  • Strategies for developing fine motor skills

  • Techniques for promoting emotional regulation in the Classroom

  • Tips for supporting a child's sensory development

By participating in our Professional Development Program, educators and support staff will gain a deeper understanding of the unique needs of children and will be equipped with the tools and strategies needed to make a positive impact on their development.

“Kind, brilliant, passionate, dedicated and knowledgeable are five words I’ll use to describe Yakira. She has been working with my son for about 3 years now, and they have developed an incredible bond. Not only has she instilled confidence in my son, she has also helped with his attention and focus issues, gross and fine motor skills, and his social skills.”
